Live Type Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Sometimes video therapy is not convenient – you may be socially anxious, be neurodiverse or simply not want to be seen on video!

Live-type therapy offers you a therapist in your phone or laptop; time to think about the information you want to talk about and time to consider the therapist’s responses. It can really help to reduce people’s inhibitions and encourage the therapeutic process.

Sessions are arranged for a time slot, lasting an hour and the client and therapist instant message each other. This may also include photos of work or worksheets being shared.

CBT takes a collaborative approach. For your assessment, we will meet to understand your problem together. How it started, why you might have been vulnerable to developing it and what keeps it going. Following our agreed understanding, or formulation, we will agree a treatment plan.
