About Me

Jodie Wozencroft-Reay
BA (hons), PG Cert, PG Dip, MA
Accredited CBT Therapist (BABCP)
Registered Social Worker (Social Work England)
As salaam alaykum! My name is Jodie, I'm a cognitive behaviour psychotherapist and Muslim convert.
Experience
I am passion about helping people, and I believe with my experience I'm equipped to help you. I have worked with people of all ages for over 13 years, and specifically in mental health therapy for over 7 years within the third sector (charities), local authorities and the NHS
House of Healing CBT
House of Healing CBT came about following my own CBT treatment for postnatal PTSD (trauma). I absolutely benefitted from the therapy provided, but I missed the spiritual aspect. I wanted, and feel others deserve, a faith based evidence based therapeutic approach. My hope is that taking a truly holistic approach to therapy will include you as a whole, not just a presenting problem.
Approaches
I use a variety of approaches to support people. I originally qualified as an accredited cognitive behaviour psychotherapist, then completed training in Islamic psychology. I have developed by training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. More information about these approaches can be found on the Therapy page.
Accreditations
I am accredited as a cognitive behaviour therapist (CBT) with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have regular CBT specific supervision with an experienced CBT psychotherapist to ensure I am working the best way I can for my clients. I am also registered as an Acceptance and Commitment Therapist (ACT) with the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science (ACBS). I am an associate fellow with the International Association for Islamic Psychology (IAIP) and receive regular supervision from an Islamic perspective.
Sessions
I offer therapy in person in Wilmslow, Cheshire and online. This means flexibility that you may not find in more traditional face-to-face arrangements. Currently due to COVID-19 all sessions are offered online.
I am fully insured to provide online therapy worldwide (except USA & Canada due to their local laws), however I am able to offer coaching worldwide (no exceptions!)
